Senior Technical Advisor for Community Outreach and Sustainability
Katherine has nearly 15 years of experience in international development, working on public health promotion, program management and emergency relief assistance. Raised in Minnesota, she received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Bucknell University and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Katherine’s passion for development work began as a US Peace Corps volunteer in Panama where she helped to bring clean drinking water to remote villages. Since then, Katherine has lived and worked on four continents and has held positions with the Johns Hopkins Center for Refugee and Disaster Response, American Red Cross, Catholic Relief Services and several engineering firms.
With the Singita Grumeti Fund, Katherine is providing technical assistance to the community outreach programs to ensure maximum sustainable impact. She is also responsible for business development for the Fund’s non-profit conservation and community programs.
